Welcome to Daarul Jannah Masjid Birmingham
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left for this Ummah two things (Quran and Sunnah) to cling to it for the salvation in hereafter. And these two matters are the fundamental source of Divine Knowledge. This knowledge should be sought, taught and understood in the same way that our Salaf did.
One of the pioneer scholars of Islam, Imaam Ibn Seereen (rahimahullaah) said: 'Indeed, This knowledge Is Deen, So Look To The One You Take Your Deen From’. Imaam Bukhaari (RH) named a chapter in his book as “The chapter of Knowledge before the Action” and the very first verse that was revealed to our beloved Prophet (PBUH) was “Read by the name of your Lord who created you”. Among the supplications of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Allaah are asking for beneficial knowledge and seeking refuge in Him from knowledge that doesn’t benefit.
Imam Al Awzaa’ee (RH) said: knowledge is whatever the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have reported. Anything apart from that is not considered knowledge. The main purpose for which Allah created us and sent all messengers to the Earth is to worship Him alone and single Him out in all acts of Worship, Lordship and His Names and Attributes. This is the core source of Divine Knowledge. As Allaah says in the Qur’an (47/19) “Know that there is no deity in truth except Allaah”
Therefore, Darul Jannah Madrasa provides comprehensive and beneficial knowledge to students from the view point of above mentioned principles and methodology. Our commitment/ aim is to serve our community through Islamic Education and build our future generation with Islamic morals and Manhaj of our Righteous predecessors.
